It would be easy for the European Union to sort out the
problem of tax havens. All of them in Europe – the Channel Islands, the Isle of
Man, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Andorra, the lot – should be served with an
ultimatum: succumb to control by national and EU authorities, or it’s war or occupation. None
has armed forces and none would put up resistance. Simple stuff. Britain puts its troops into the Channel Islands and Isle of Man and closes down their money laundering, France does the same with Monaco, Germany with Liechtenstein. No one would complain apart from a handful of rich parasites. Why not?

I think this is a very good idea. I wish someone would propose it at the Labour Conference. Much better than the sucking up to the rich that's going on. Ooh, Ed managed to speak for an hour without notes. He's not SIX!!!
If the lovely and highly respected Jimmy Savile was still around I'd ask him to fix it for the nation so that this would be proper government policy, but he'd probably be too busy issuing writs and touching up tits for me to even get a look-in.
